New Student Frequently Asked Questions

 Your username is also your student ID number.  It begins with the letter K and is followed by seven numbers (ex. K1234567).  If you are new to Katy ISD,  temporary password will be given to you on the first day of school.  If you are a returning student, your password from last year will still work.

 If you have forgotten your password or need help before school starts, please call the Family Help Desk at (281)396-7400.

You can log into HAC through My Katy Cloud using your school username and password.  Class schedules will be available in HAC no earlier than August 6, 2026.

The first day of school for 2026-2027 is August 12, 2026.  Students may start entering the building at 8:30 am and the tardy bell is at 8:55 am.  Dismissal begins at 3:55 pm and ends at 4:05 pm.

The front office is open from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday during the school year.

If your Chromebook has been lost or damaged, come to the library.  The librarians will help you put in a ticket to get it fixed and issue you a new one.

To talk to the Family Technology Support Center, call 281-396-7400.  They are open from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday during the school year and 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday during the summer.

For junior high students, Breakfast costs $1.75 and Lunch is $3.25.  The Food Services page has more information and menus.

The best way for your parents to contact you during the school day is through your Katy ISD school email.  You have an email address which is your School ID number@students.katyisd.org.  (For example, K1234567@students.katyisd.org).  

If they need to contact you due to an emergency, they will call the front office at (281)237-7300.  

There is a designated drop off spot in the foyer of our front office.  Tell your parents to label the item with the your name and grade level.  You will be allowed to come get the item during passing periods or with teacher's permission.   Drop off for lunches are handled in the same manner.

Students are not allowed to order from Uber Eats, Door Dash, or any other sort of food delivery service.  Lunches must be dropped off by a parent or guardian.

Email through Canvas is the best way to get in contact with your teachers.  You can also search in Outlook by your teacher's last name to find their email address.  Canvas and Outlook are accessed through My Katy Cloud.

The library provides students with loaner Chromebooks to use during the school day if you forget it at home.  It can be checked out any time during the school day but must be returned at the end of 8th period.  Your parents will receive an email notification when you check out a loaner Chromebook and another notification when you return it.
